Nico enjoyed a bit of time running through the woods this morning.

All I need to say to describe this photo is “squeaky toy.”

Apparently, Nico wanted a profile portrait this evening; he refused to look directly at the camera.

Nico loves a good game of tug. Recently, we’ve been working on sharpening up his “out” command.

With the return of milder temperatures, Nico could spend more time outside.

I think Nico feels sorry for himself because Shelly and I have been in and out of the house all weekend, and he hasn’t come along for a single adventure. Though we did spend a little bit of time running around the yard, he then found one of his favorite spots in the house full of sunshine. He really loves this calming throw bed we have on this bench.

Cold days are good for hanging out with friends, doing chores around the house, and chewing bones on the couch.

Just another evening of hanging in the house to avoid bone-chilling temperatures outside.

Nico was more interested in playing with his stuffed duck than he was in posing for a photo.

I’ve said this before, but I will say it again. I’ve found myself drawn to images like the one below.

For the past nine months or so, Nico and I have held steady on a weekday morning routine of walking around our neighborhood.

It was a chilly day here in Saranac Lake, so Nico didn’t get much activity.
