As promised, Nico and I went on a little adventure today so that he could burn off some energy.

I owe Nico some sort of adventure tomorrow.

I’ve always had the philosophy that it’s beneficial to subject your dog to strange situations to help build trust and confidence.

While I get frustrated with the lack of daylight in the winter because it makes this photo series more difficult, there is an upside.

This is Nico’s way of reminding me that I should be playing with him more.

The duck Nico got for Christmas still holds the top spot in his toy collection.

It was a quiet day for Nico. I was out photographing with a client today, which meant Nico didn’t get to go for his afternoon run through the woods.

It was another rainy day here in the Adirondacks.

It has been a rainy day here in the Adirondacks. All the warm air and rain have caused quite a bit of fog around our area lakes.

Nico and I have been walking in the woods daily for the past week or so. It’s safe to say that we’ve both found this beneficial to our mental and physical health, Nico probably more than I.

Nico had a wonderful Christmas. Not only did he get to open his toys but he also helped open and inspect everything Shelly and I opened.

I am halfway through a two-week staycation. I think Nico may have a difficult time adjusting to me going back to work.

We’ve been slowly introducing raw meat into Nico’s diet.

Nico and I had quite the pre-adventure today before heading out for a walk (run for Nico).

Today is the solstice, which is exciting. Before taking on this project, I never thought of the solstice that much.

Sometimes, I reflect on how much this photography project has affected Nico’s life.
