Day 1,326

It has been a rainy day here in the Adirondacks. All the warm air and rain have caused quite a bit of fog around our area lakes. Nico and I try to walk along the shores of Lower Saranac Lake each day. What you see behind Nico is the view we had today. I enjoy the fog because it forces me to focus more on my immediate surroundings. As a landscape photographer, I’m often drawn to big scenes and expansive vistas. That isn’t possible on days like today. While sometimes it can be hard, I also enjoy getting out in the rain. It is so easy to stay hunkered inside, but walking through the forest while listening to water dripping through the canopy is refreshing.
