Day 859

A few months ago, my iPhone suffered water damage after a day out in the field. My phone and my Sony A7RIV mirrorless camera are the two most important tools I have for this photos series. I was able to keep the phone alive, but the image quality on two of the cameras was degraded. Today, a new iPhone with a better camera arrived in the mail. For the last several years, I’ve been blown away by the image quality of smartphones. For most people, a traditional camera is unnecessary, and there may come a time when even professional photographers rely on their phones as much as our regular cameras. The photo below as shot with the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
