Just for fun, we pulled Khyber’s life jacket out from storage on the boat and slapped it on Nico. This Ruffwear float coat is the best dog life jacket out there, and Khyber wore it on lakes and ponds from northwest Ontario to the Adirondacks. Khyber took to the water immediately when he was a young dog. Nico was super skeptical and scared of the water when he was younger. But Nico has taught me how to be supportive and encouraging, and slowly, we overcame his fear of water and turned into a love of water. He doesn’t need the lifejacket under normal circumstances because he is an absolute beast when it comes to swimming, but it was still fun to see him wearing it on the boat.
