Day 1,509

Sometimes, it’s good to just stand among the flowers and enjoy the world around us. One lesson I’ve learned from dogs over the years is to slow down and enjoy observing your surroundings. Nico is content just sitting on the front stairs to our house or standing in the corner of our yard watching our neighbor’s chickens. We humans let ourselves get distracted with so many things in life, many of which are inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Take a moment to put your technology down, step away from work, and stand among the flowers. You might be surprised at how relaxing it can be.
