Dog Photo Sessions

My custom photo sessions are a fun and enjoyable way to capture lasting memories of your dog. Every session is tailored to your dog’s personality and needs. This is a wonderful way to create beautiful art of your dog that you will cherish forever.

Every session includes:

  • All sessions are held outside, typically in the morning or evening, for the best light. When booking, we’ll set a rain date so that we have a plan in case the weather doesn’t cooperate.

  • Sessions can either be held at your house or at a local park or attraction.

  • Sessions last up to 60 minutes. The duration and intensity of each session will be tailored to the dog.

  • I come prepared with treats and toys to engage your dog.

  • After the session, a minimum of 10 professionally edited photos (per dog) will be provided in a personal online gallery.

  • All photos can be downloaded from the online gallery.

  • Prints can be ordered from the online gallery for an additional charge. This allows you to customize your print selection and only pay for the prints you want.

  • Sessions include up to two dogs. Additional dogs are $75 each.

  • Sessions can be held anywhere in northern New York. Locations within a one-hour drive of Saranac Lake, NY, are included in the session price. There is a $25/hr travel fee for locations farther away.

  • Half of the total cost of the session is due at the time of booking as a deposit. The remaining balance is due when the photos are delivered.

The Booking & Session Process

Step 1: Inquiry Form

Submit an inquiry form to let me know you are interested in booking a session. I will get back to discuss dates and learn a little more about your dogs.

Step 2: Questionnaire

After our initial conversation, I will send over a questionnaire so I can learn more about your dogs and ensure we are ready for a fun photo shoot.

Step 3: Shoot Day

I’ll confirm our booking and the weather the day before the shoot. You and your dogs don’t need to do anything to prepare for the shoot, other than to have fun.

Step 4: Photo Delivery

Within a week of the shoot I will send a link to an online gallery with your photos. You can download photos, order prints, and share the gallery with friends and family.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, absolutely! While basic commands can be helpful during a shoot, I’m comfortable working with all dogs. Even the wildest dogs can have a great photo shoot.

  • I start every session by giving the dogs time to get comfortable around me. If your dog is extra timid we’ll spend extra time getting them comfortable. I also ask your dog’s favorite treats or toys in the questionnaire so that I’m prepared to make a good first impression with your dog.

  • Yes, absolutely.

  • Yes, it is. Pricing will vary depending on the particular hike or paddle you want photographed. I’m happy to work with you to develop a plan for capturing epic adventure photos of your dog.

  • Generally, no. The safety of the dog is my number one priority during a shoot. However, if we are in a safe place where your dog is regularly off-leash, such as your home, then it is fine. Leashes will be edited out of the final images in the post-processing stage.
