I gave Nico this Ruffwear Lunker dog toy for Christmas, but today was the first day we got to try it out in the water.

Nico saw the boat snacks come out and thought there might be something in there for him!

We had several friends over this afternoon, which Nico found very exciting.

The white tip of Nico’s tail is one of my favorite markings on his body. It’s also very convenient to pick out where he is when he is running through the woods.

It was a bit chilly today, but it seems to have kept the bugs at bay. Nico got to go for a walk around the neighborhood this afternoon, which he always enjoys.

Nico enjoys his Benebones, especially nibbling the little chewed-up bits on the end.

Nico enjoyed spending time in the yard this afternoon.

I got home from work late tonight and this little dude was standing in the door “wroo wroo”ing at me.

It was a good afternoon to lay among the wildflowers.

Sometimes Nico has to thoroughly sniff his toys before deciding whether to play with them.

Nico was as excited as we were to go for our first cruise on the water.

When I came downstairs to take Nico’s daily photo he picked up his and looked at me as if to say, “this is all you’re going to get Dad.”

A sure sign of a good time is when you slobber your own face. Well, at least if you are a dog…

Nico is a professional at lounging and nesting.

Nico couldn’t decide if he wanted to continue to bark out the front door or follow me to the kitchen to get dinner. Food is a great motivator though!

It was a nice but little chilly day in Saranac Lake.
