Day 873
Yesterday I wondered if Nico would ever be a limnology field dog, today we decided to make that happen. While Nico may not be joining me in the field in a canoe anytime soon, I didn’t see why he couldn’t tag along on the motorboat. After all, he spends a heck of a lot of time on our boat. Nico did excellently on Upper Saranac Lake and even supervised my colleague Lija as she conducted maintenance on the Upper Saranac Lake Environmental Monitoring Platform. Check out the video below to see his little ears flapping in the wind!

Dog Gear
Check out our favorite dog gear, toys, and treats.
There are a lot of camera-carrying systems on the market. If you want to attach your camera to a backpack, you’ve likely come across the Peak Design Capture Clip. But there is a lesser-known product out there that is way more versatile: the Ulanzi Falcam system.
