Day 1,364

Today was the first big day of the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival. Last year we got Nico back from Upstate Canine Academy a week before carnival and I was blown away with how well he was able to do in the crowds and around dogs. This morning we brought him to the Paul Smith’s College Woodsman’s Team demo and then walked around the Ice Palace. He did really well sitting with people, little kids, and dogs all around. He had one minor outburst when a dog walked by wearing a spider costume, which is understandable, dogs aren’t supposed to have eight legs. He also received lots of compliments for staying in a heel and being super engaged with me with all the distractions around. Needless to say, I’m very proud of him.
