Day 1,299

I’ve trained all my dogs to wait patiently for their food before eating. It’s an easy daily act to help reinforce boundaries and reward impulse control. I can leave Nico in a room with a bowl of food; if I walk out of the room, he won’t eat it. After long enough, he will come find me. Only a handful of times has he slipped up and eaten the food.
