Day 1,297
There is something ethereal about days when snowflakes slowly drift to the ground, creating the feeling of standing inside a giant snow globe. Snow seems more thoughtful and subdued than rain, especially when it is light and fluffy, meandering its way to the ground. Rain is in a hurry; snow is content with taking its time. Snow isn’t in a hurry to go anywhere when it reaches the ground; it’s fine with hanging out for a few months before running off in the spring.
Winter seems to do the same thing to us, forcing us to slow down. It’s 5 pm, and I’m sitting on my couch, content to settle in for the night. In the summer, we’d be racing out the door to soak in the last hours of beautiful weather out on the lake. Nico is right there with us. He’s happy licking snowflakes off his nose as darkness settles upon us. Nico is even more content with curling up next to me on the couch, snoozing the evening away.
While I don’t enjoy the prolonged darkness of winter, I appreciate that it forces us to slow down. Maybe snow has more to teach us than we realize.

There are a lot of camera-carrying systems on the market. If you want to attach your camera to a backpack, you’ve likely come across the Peak Design Capture Clip. But there is a lesser-known product out there that is way more versatile: the Ulanzi Falcam system.
