Day 1,156

Nico has a hard time going belly up and staying on his back. We practiced this evening by laying on his back on the couch. As soon as the treats came out, he was totally into it. Haha. We’ve been working on using the training techniques we learned at Upstate Canine Academy to get him more comfortable with different things. Last night we worked on being relaxed while I pulled his lips back and gently scaled his teeth. Being able to apply the communication skills we learned there has been amazing. I can see things click with Nico as long as I stick to the script of marking the desired behavior with a “yes” and paying him treats.
