Day 1,134

I’ve been working on building stackable potato planters for the garden. For some reason whenever a single tier is on the ground Nico likes to stand inside it. This afternoon I decided to stack a series of them over top of him. He was a bit skeptical but I put him in a ‘sit stay’ and he held position as each tier was place over top of him. This is a major demonstration of the trust and confidence we’ve built with him since going away to Upstate Canine Academy. We’ve learned how to teach Nico to trust in our leadership. Doing weird things like this with a dog can help them be more comfortable in a variety of situations and look to you for guidance on how to respond.
