This photo is a great example of the extremely narrow depth of field of an f1.2 lens; the plane of focus is from the front of Nico’s eye to the back. This is the look he gives me when we’re working, and he’s waiting for his next command, pure focus, ready to work.

Brendan is a professional landscape, nature, and wildlife photographer with over 20 years of experience. He holds a Ph.D. in biology from Queen’s University and is an accomplished research scientist. His photography focuses on the conservation of the natural world.
