Nico is good at putting on a show. In this photo, he looks like he is starving, but in reality, he just ate dinner. He is so good at faking his hunger that I’m almost certain he has gotten a second meal out of me at least once. Sometimes I wake up early in the morning and will feed him, then he’ll beg for food again at our normal wake-up time an hour or two later. Normally I know what’s up, but I’m sure this technique has been successful at least once. Or, he’ll get fed by Shelly and then give me the starving puppy dog eyes just a few minutes later.
