Day 1,334

While I get frustrated with the lack of daylight in the winter because it makes this photo series more difficult, there is an upside. For landscape photography, late sunrise and early sunset mean that I don’t have to wake quite as early or stay out as late if I plan to shoot during the optimal times of the day. One of my goals for 2024 is to get back to shooting landscapes and wildlife more regularly. I stepped away from it for the last few years because work has consumed my life, and this photo series also took much of my focus. I’ve enjoyed learning how to photograph dogs, but for my mental health, I’ve realized I need to work less and start doing more of the things that bring me joy. I’ve known that I tend to overwork myself for a long time. This year I want to focus on finding a better balance in life.

Many thanks to my Patreon supporters for making this series possible.
