Day 1,029
Fly Nico, Fly. I haven’t been shooting action with Nico for a while. The reason is I tend to leave a particular lens on my camera for a period of time and work on shooting within whatever focal range that lens is. Doing this continually challenges me to think differently about the images I capture. Today I switched to one of my favorite lenses to photograph dogs, my Sony 70-200mm f2.8. This lens is particularly good at action shots. One major benefit of our focus on training is that it is easier for me to work with Nico on shots like this. Shelly would put him in a sit-stay by the tree in the background, then stand behind me. From this position, when she did a recall, Nico would be heading straight at me. Rinse and repeat a few times to get a shot like this. Nico is such a good boy. :-)
