Day 1,004

Nico knows he'll eventually get paid when asked to hold a position and a camera is put in his face. I'm beginning to teach myself off-camera lighting and have much to learn. After over a decade as a professional photographer, I've never worked with flashes or off-camera lighting. My previous work has involved natural lighting, whether a landscape, wildlife, or a dog running around. Over the years, I've learned the nuance of working with natural light; landscape photography often involves planning shots so that the sun is at the right angle. I always enjoy learning something new, and it is about time to learn how to use artificial light for portraits. Thankfully I have a subject that is willing to work for treats and is super cute.
